FIRST FOOT GUARDS EVENTS, 2013

We invite you to come to our events, see what we do, and consider joining the Guards. All events are open to the public and are free except Old Sturbridge Village, Fort Ticonderoga, Colonial Williamsburg and Fort at Number 4 where there is a nominal admission fee. All events are subject to change due to weather or other cicumstances, so before attending an event, always check the event host's web site for the latest information. Most of these events repeat every year and there are photos and videos of many of them on our Photos and Videos pages.

Sun, April 7, 2013, Dress rehearsal for the battle on Lexington Green for the Patriots Day reenactment, 2-3:30pm (units arrive 1pm), Battle Green, Lexington center.

Sat, April 13, 2013, Battle Road reenactment, Hartwell Tavern and Captain William Smith house, MMNHP, Lincoln MA. 10am-1pm. Actual route of the embattled British return to Boston from Concord, April 19, 1775. Main battle at 11:30am from Bloody Angle to Hartwell Tavern, Parker's Revenge reenactment at 2pm near Fiske Hill, Lexington.

Sat-Sun, July 20-21, 2013, Salem Maritime National Historic Site Encampment, Derby Wharf, 193 Derby Street, Salem MA, 10am-4pm both days. British encampment, drills and demonstrations to commemorate the arrival of the newly appointed British Military Governor General Thomas Gage in Salem in June 1774. Gage moved the Massachusetts legislature to Salem, which became the seat of government during the summer of 1774.
